YOUR FIRST CLASS
Our classes are suitable for all levels of experience. Please let our teachers know when you arrive if you're brand new to yoga or new to the studio. We provide variations to suit all levels of experience and advice on technique and alignment. Start slow, and with regular practice you'll begin to notice a difference. Our regular Vinyasa and Yin Foundations workshops are highly recommended for new students. Please see the workshops page for upcoming dates.
WHAT WILL I NEED TO BRING?
Our studio provides everything you need for your yoga practice including complimentary mats, blocks, straps, bolsters, blankets and cushions.
We recommend wearing clothing that is light and comfortable, allowing you a good range of movement.
DO I NEED TO BOOK?
We have a very comprehensive class schedule 7 days a week. Bookings are not compulsory, however our website provides a booking system for you to confirm a space in your chosen class.
HOW CAN I PAY FOR CLASSES?
Classes can be paid for either online or in the studio using cash or EFTPOS.
ARRIVING FOR CLASS
Please arrive 15 minutes before class to give yourself enough time to get ready, check-in and ask any questions of your teacher.
Out of respect for the other students in the room, we ask you to stay for the full session unless absolutely necessary. At any time during your practice, you can lie down on your mat or take childs pose to rest, and rejoin the practice when you're ready.
EATING BEFORE PRACTICE
We suggest avoiding eating for 1-2 hours before practice. If needed, aim for a light snack rather than a full meal.
DO YOU HEAT THE ROOM?
We do not have hot yoga classes, instead we practice at room temperature and rely on our sequences to heat and cool the body as required. In winter we do warm the room on cold days before practice, especially in our yin classes. Our room also has a beautiful natural light and airflow.
INJURIES + AILMENTS
If you have any injuries or ailments, it is important to let your teacher know before class. If in any doubt, please seek your doctor’s approval before attending class.
PREGNANCY AND YOGA
Yoga can be extremely beneficial during pregnancy both to maintain good heath and provide relaxation and mediation. Our teachers will discuss adjustments you can make through-out your pregnancy to continue your practice. Please consult your medical professional through-out your pregnancy to ensure yoga is appropriate for you.
